One-time setup. You need an OAuth Client ID — not an API key, not the client secret. Do these in order; Google blocks the last step until the first ones are done.
- Branding — open → Get started → app name + your email → Audience External → Create.
- Audience — open → Test users → add your Google address. Skipping this gives
access_denied. - Enable the Drive API — open → Enable. Must precede the next step.
- Data Access — open → Add or remove scopes → tick
drive.readonly→ Update → Save. - Clients — Create client → Web application → JavaScript origins
→ redirect URIs empty → Create.

✦ Watermark
Stills only. Burned into the resized copy before upload, so the published file always carries it. A corner mark can be cropped off; tiled is far harder to remove — but neither is theft-proof, and the real protection is that only a 1400px copy exists at all. Video is published unmarked: stamping it would mean re-encoding every frame.
